Do you hear what I hear?

December is a bright, loud, buzzing month and has a way of drowning out the quietest – and often wisest – voice in the room: your body.

Some people love this season. Others find it painful or overwhelming. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, this is the month when everyone around you is speeding up, and the pressure to match that pace can feel intense.

So this season, take time to check in with yourself and ask what would make you feel good and appreciate this time of year. It's okay to slow down and protect your energy when the world is asking you to give more. It's also okay to jump into the festivities and have a blast.

Do what you need.

And if your habit tends to flare up this time of year? Remember, those are just messages that you're dysregulated. It's your body asking for something different than what everyone else expects. Lean in to hear what that message is.

This December, practice listening.
