How to manifest a stain

Ok, I promised I'd share some examples of how I've manifested things from each category:

(1) Holding us back from what we aspire to be

(2) Neutral, "status quo"

(3) Growing into what we aspire to be

So here goes...

How to manifest a stain

I signed up for one of those fancy clothing services where they pick out outfits for you and send them to you to try on. My box included these fabulous white cropped pants with black orchid print... but I waffled about buying them because I was so at odds with myself about about the cost. It was unlike me to spend that much on pants. In the end, I hesitantly made the purchase... and the first time I wore them, I sprayed cherry juice on them.

It may sound silly, but here's what happened: at the time I didn't believe I was worthy of pants like these. I thought these pants were for women who made more money and were more stylish than me. So they weren't a vibrational match... until they were stained.

I had put the pants on a pedestal that didn't match my own status (in my eyes at least)... and that's how I manifested a stain.

Now you see it, and now you don't

I was reading a fabulous book about manifesting money(Rich as F*ck by Amanda Frances, go check it out!) and I was testing out her suggestions. Right after I finished the book, a check arrived in the mail.

OMG, I thought, I did it!! (She actually talked about surprise checks showing up unexpectedly.) I opened it up and there was a check from our insurance company with a refund for "overpaid funds" for about $1,500.

I was so excited that I ran to my husband to tell him... and he responded "oh yeah, I'm not sure why they sent that to us, we have to send it back." It turns out, we had just switched policies and somewhere in all the shifting around they sent us the check instead of applying it to the new policy.

In this case, I manifested money, was I wasn't ready to really receive it.

(You see this on a bigger scale when someone wins the lottery, then they go bankrupt shortly later. Having money wasn't consistent with how they viewed themselves, so they couldn't keep it.)

And that's how it's done

My last example is about when I submitted a proposal to speak at the TLC conference for body-focused repetitive behaviors. By this time, I knew a bit more about manifestation, the principles behind it, and how to manifest my dreams.

So I felt into it. I did everything I could to normalize being invited to speak. I spent time with other people who had previously spoken at conferences. I reminded myself of all the reasons that I was qualified to speak. I thought about the benefit others could have from hearing my message. I imagined myself having a wider reach, really sitting with the excitement of being able to connect with more people. I imagined a world where it had already happened.

Then it did happen. I was invited to speak at the very same conference where I first met other people with BFRBs and started to wonder if maybe I wasn't so weird and broken after all.

Important clarification:

Manifestation is about letting go of control. It's about tapping into the energy you want to be rather than achieving a specific pre-determined goal. In this case, I focused on how it would feel to connect with more people (which is what I was hoping to achieve at the conference), but I also remained open to any avenue of this, rather than limiting myself to this one particular opportunity.

If you're still skeptical...

I get it, really I do. I've been in your shoes. Next, I’ll address the naysayers and nonbelievers, so stay tuned!
